a Certified Health Coach, 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher.  Mostly, I'm a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, yoga student, and forever a work in process with a chronic case of wanderlust.  I love to help women experience their best version of themselves using simple, effective (evidence-based), and sustainable lifestyle tools.  With me you'll learn how mindfulness, food, and reducing toxic overload/stress reduction help shift lives into full gear! 

I work with women aged 40+ who:

  • struggle to reach the level of vitality that they know exists for them; 
  • want as they age to flow seamlessly through life's natural transitions;
  • believe they make a difference in this world (because you do!);
  • crave connection to self and to support others.

What's enabled me to sleep like a baby, to push myself beyond self-limiting doubts, to truly feed my soul has been a journey.  I was in a career that hijacked my life and energy.  Life threw in tragedy and heartbreak.  I looked wrung out, my behaviors towards the people I loved most were less than stellar.  There was a huge divide between the life I was living and the life I envisioned for myself.  On top of that, the foods I used to comfort myself created a maelstrom of symptoms that I could not work my way out of  . . . alone.  

The goals I finally attained in my self-care and my resume share the same method:  education + openmindedness + support = success.  Without the people who invested in me, encouraged me, praised me, and held me accountable, I would have never been inspired to be curious and to step beyond my comfort zone.  I would have never experienced success, or if I had, it would not be as sweet as it is today.  

My Training

Health Coaching

I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.

During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.  My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

This education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

Yoga Teacher

Yoga is my passion and gets credit for being a catalyst for change in my life.  I am an eternal and grateful student of this ancient tradition and my teachers. I am a Professional Level (500-hour) Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Advanced Unnata Aerial Yoga Teacher, and the director of Glow Aerial Yoga in Putnam, CT.  I have also trained and received additional certifications with leading yoga teachers including Rodney Yee, Rod Stryker, Shiva Rea, and Sarah Powers.  Since 1999 I have been teaching yoga and meditation and offering  yoga nidra and sound therapy.   


Professional and Rehabilitation Counseling

After receiving a B.A. in Psychology, I continued my studies as a graduate student in the Professional & Rehabilitation Counseling program at Central Connecticut State University.  Internships included nine months in group counseling with young adults and adults in recovery from mental health and substance use (2014-15), and as services coordinator for university students with disabilities (2014).  Counseling is a profession that facilitates the process of empowering individuals to live their best lives based upon who they are in the present moment.
